No. Heraut works on top of the customer data in your existing BigQuery environment. Your warehouse remains the source of truth and your data team explicitly controls which models are available.
Yes. The segment builder translates approved fields and definitions into visual conditions. Marketers can build, understand and activate segments while your data team retains control of the underlying data model.
For a standard BigQuery setup with a native destination, the goal is to connect the environment and activate a first useful audience within one working day. Broader model mapping, custom connectors and team onboarding can follow without blocking that first value.
That is part of the Heraut model: the core is SaaS, while a connector unique to your stack can be scoped and built as an add-on. You do not need to buy a much broader platform just to cover one important system.
